BabelBark Comments on New Pet Care Statistics
The pet care industry is now a $225 billion business in North America, according to new data reported in Business Insider. By 2023, that figure is projected to rise to $281 billion. That is continued good news for the team at BabelBark, the world’s only software platform for the fast growing pet industry that connects all pet services and needs in order to generate one of a kind predictive analytics.
“This article and recent research support the case that millennials are using technology to care for their treasured pets in the same way they use it to care for themselves. There’s a clear movement away from brick and mortar to virtual platforms. By connecting the entire pet ecosystem, including pets, pet parents, veterinarians, pet services, insurance, product and ecommerce companies, BabelBark is well positioned to capture and consolidate pet industry data,” said BabelBark Founder & CEO Roy Stein.
The BabelBark platform has benefitted from tremendous momentum over the past year and had 400% growth in 2018 with users from North America through Europe to APAC. It has more than 200,000 pets on the platform and is supported by the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) which selected BabelBark as the exclusive recommended vet-pet communication platform through 2021 across their 4400+ hospitals.
“When you look at the data going back 15 years, it is clear that the pet industry is recession proof. Pets are an extension of the human part of our families – not an add on – and the industry will continue to thrive over time,” Stein concluded.
